About Me

I worked as a journalist for seven years at Inner Mongolia Life Weekly, which is a newspaper affiliated with Inner Mongolia Daily. During my news career, I have built a source network in local government, universities, and religious organizations; I write feature stories, breaking news, and long-form stories. My approach to various kinds of reporting has naturally sparked my curiosity towards political journalism, which in turn has led me to consider how political systems work, either democracy or autocracy. In addition to news articles, I maintain a personal blog on a Mongolian social media called “Bainu,” where I compare American values - such as Liberals and Conservatives - to Mongolian values.

My interactions with famous journalists and politicians in local government have led me to reevaluate my relationship to journalism and to develop a greater appreciation for the field and a fresh understanding of its importance.

I am now studying at Columbia Journalism School.
